I have a lot of Rick and Morty work on here, but this might be the piece that means the most to me. I had the chance to write a short to cap off season three. This became “The Poop in my Pants,” a look at what Mr. Poopybutthole has been up to all season. It was a chance to play with the full season’s storyline, while also working in some personal experiences.
It premiered the day before Thanksgiving, and became the #1 organic trending video on YouTube during the holiday. It garnered over 3 million views in 24 hours. It inspired analysis and reaction videos from YouTubers, but my biggest accomplishment here was getting people to tear up over a character named Mr. Poopybutthole.
